About the Creator
Shaun Mitchell is a visual artist, photographer, designer, and educator born and raised in Palm Beach County, Florida. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Palm Beach State College in 2019 and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from Florida Atlantic University in 2021.
Mitchell's creative work is inspired by everyday experiences, visual storytelling, and the evolving influence of digital media. With a passion for photography, digital design, and creative expression, he enjoys exploring new ways to connect art and technology through both traditional and digital mediums.
As a Middle School Digital Art & Design teacher, Mitchell is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of creators by fostering creativity, critical thinking, and artistic confidence in the classroom. His professional experiences in photography, graphic design, and digital content creation continue to shape his artistic perspective and creative approach.
Beyond the classroom, Mitchell is the creator behind Fresh Sm.art, a platform showcasing his artwork, photography, and design portfolio, and Freshest Finds, a content platform focused on discovering and sharing unique experiences, local businesses, products, and hidden gems through engaging social media storytelling. His work reflects a commitment to creativity, lifelong learning, and building meaningful connections through visual communication.
Artist Statement
Art has always been an important part of my life, with painting and photography serving as my earliest forms of creative expression. Over time, my creative practice has grown to include photography, digital design, and visual storytelling, allowing me to explore new ways of connecting art and technology.
My work is inspired by everyday life, human interaction, and the moments that often go unnoticed. Whether through a photograph, painting, or digital creation, I strive to create meaningful work that encourages viewers to pause, reflect, and form their own connection with each image.
For me, art is more than creating visually appealing images, it is a way to preserve experiences, communicate emotion, and inspire meaningful connections through visual storytelling.
