Artist Statement
I have always been interested in painting & photography my entire life. I began painting at a very young age but got more into it as I attended college. Throughout my high school years, I also became interested in cameras and capturing candid moments. I get fascinated by many different techniques & mediums such as oil paints, watercolors, graphite pencils, charcoal, and pastels however I am more interested in acrylic paints. Whether it’s painting or photography, I would like my work to explore the relationship between the viewer and the image. I also find it fascinating how the way people interact with their environment. In life, we always ask people how they are doing, and they reply with, “I’m good”, but sometimes people say that just to reply but deep down inside, something is going on in their mind. When I photograph these images, it’s a way to document reality, and I would like myself as well as others to see how each individual thinks in general.
